We started to this class with designing an exo-skeleton for our friend’s body. It was my first lesson of my first year and I enjoyed a lot.
Exploring Urban and Nature
It was our first project. We started to this project with walking on the Balat streets. We tried to find a struggle between urban and nature. I chose a wall with leaves on it then the adventure started. This is the photo of my wall.
Then we started to learn what abstraction is. We started with abstracting the wall we chose. We abstracted the wall more than once. You can see my abstractions of wall on the right.
Then we did the same thing for the nature and urban element. We tried to find different nature and urban struggle on the environment. I abstracted the nature and urban which I found. These are my abstractions for the different kind of leaves and walls. The uppermost layer is for wall abstractions, the bottom is for leaf abstractions.
Then we chose three walls and three leaves abstraction to combine. We combined them with a word that teacher gave us. And we drew them again. These are my combines you see.
Then we chose an urban and an nature abstraction and made a pattern with them. These are my patterns.
Then we chose one pattern and made it 3D. I chose my orange pattern and made it 3D.
